Dominie Wilhite is currently a Counselor at Nevada Union High School in Grass Valley, California. Her counseling experience includes working with diverse students in a variety of settings. She served as the College Counselor at Ceiba College Preparatory High School in Watsonville, California and Oscar De La Hoya Animo Charter High School in Los Angeles, California. Her international experience includes working as the Director of Student Services/College Counselor at Harare International School in Zimbabwe.

She holds a masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and a credential in School Counseling from California State University, Northridge. Her undergraduate degree is from Pomona College. Ms. Wilhite served as a UCLA (University of California Los Angeles) Admission Reader and taught graduate level counseling courses at University of La Verne. Her college tours/visits have taken over 300 students from around the world to the United States (Northeast, Mid-Atlantic and California) and the United Kingdom. She has visited over 100 colleges on four continents. Ms. Wilhite has presented on college admission and access topics at national and international conferences and is a member of her professional organizations – National Association for College Admission Counselors (NACAC) as well the the Overseas affiliate (OACAC). Ms. Wilhite is an experienced university advisor who is excited to take students beyond the college brochures and websites to see the real thing for themselves.
